Aaron Pierre is a British actor renowned for his striking presence and versatility. He trained at LAMDA and began on stage, earning acclaim as Cassio in Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe opposite Mark Rylance.
He rose to prominence on screen as Dev‑Em in Krypton and Caesar in Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad.
His film roles include M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, Brother, and the Netflix thriller Rebel Ridge. In 2024 he voiced Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King and portrayed Malcolm X in Genius: MLK/X, earning recognition as an AP Breakthrough Entertainer.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “Aaron Pierre’s jump from 20/1 to 8/1 has certainly shaken up the Bond betting. His performances in The Underground Railroad and Rebel Ridge have clearly sparked interest, and punters are starting to take him seriously as a contender to be named the next 007.
“Pierre now finds himself level with Superman himself, Henry Cavill, at 8/1 – and not far off the top of the market.
“Aaron Taylor-Johnson is still favourite, but has drifted from odds-on to 11/8. Theo James is still second favourite at 7/2, with James Norton rounding off the top five at 9/1.”
