Jamie Lambert is best known as being part of Collabro – one of the most successful musical theatre groups to have participated in Britain’s Got Talent.

In 2014 Collabro met for their first rehearsal above a pub in London and just a month later went on to rouse the whole of Hammersmith Apollo into a standing ovation during their first ever public performance of ‘Stars’ for the Britain’s Got Talent judges.

Having triumphed in their Semi-Final heat with over 63% of the votes, they then won the overall competition with one of the biggest majorities ever. This subsequently led to them joining Simon Cowell’s label Syco, and hence becoming label-mates with the likes of One Direction, Little Mix, Susan Boyle and Il Divo.

In the five years since the competition, Collabro have released a Number 1 debut album ‘Stars’, followed by ‘Act Two’ which peaked at Number 2 in the charts in the summer of 2015. They have performed at the Royal Variety Performance; twice on Britain’s Got Talent (most recently the 10-year Grand Final compilation of past contestants – having been voted ‘The Nation’s Favourite BGT Winner’ in a national poll) and are now enormously successful internationally.

What Jamie thinks of the BGT finalists (so far) In 2020

Jon Courtenay – CONFIRMED

Comedy musician Jay Courtenay from Manchester was Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer act.

Jon really is what BGT is all about. I am, of course, a sucker for musical theatre acts on the show and I enjoy a back story so he ticks a lot of boxes for me. The judges also seem to love him so he could do very well

Aaron and Jasmine – CONFIRMED

Aaron and Jasmine are a dancing duo from London.

When I first saw them I thought Aaron & Jasmine were just going to be another dance act but their semi-final performance really blew me away. Their chemistry is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and THOSE LIFTS! They are going to do very well after the show.

Steve Royle – CONFIRMED

Steve Royle is a comedian from Manchester chosen by the judges to return.

I mean, I’m sure he’s a lovely guy! He does panto and I know how hard working you   have to be to do that. Is he the best of British talent? I’m not sure! The  audience love him though and I’m sure we will see him in holiday parks up and down the country after this!

Who do you hope the public vote through to the final?

Myra Dubois is someone I want to see a lot more from.  A proper British drag (even though she’s ‘not a drag queen’ she’s a ‘female performer’) she puts on a great show so I’m desperate for more of her.

I also love Sing Along With Us – they really are the essence of BGT. I love seeing how much fun they are having. I think they could win if they get through I am sure the public will love them.
