Stirling Prize Odds: Pembroke College’s Mill Lane development now outright favourite
Pembroke College’s Mill Lane development is now the outright favourite with William Hill to win the Stirling Prize, as Clare College’s River Wing drifts to 3/1 from 2/1; BEAM, Hertfordshire shortens to 3/1 from 5/1.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s been a sudden change at the top of the betting for this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize, with Clare College, Cambridge’s River Wing drifting out from 2/1 to 3/1, leaving Pembroke College, Cambridge’s Mill Lane project as clear 2/1 favourite to scoop the prize.
“Ahead of Thursday’s announcement, the other big change in the market has been the strength of BEAM. The rejuvenated Hertfordshire community hub has shortened into 3/1 from 5/1 and now shares second spot in the market with Paddington Square and River Wing.
“A house at Fairmead has drifted to 5/1, while Lion Green Road is the outsider in the betting at 6/1.”
