Sunny Heatwave UK

The latest weather forecast has the United Kingdom as extremely likely to record higher temperatures than Barbados this weekend, with another heatwave set to hit the nation.

According to the latest betting markets from William Hill, odds compilers have given the UK a short price of 1/10 to be hotter than the Caribbean country this weekend.

With an Iberian blast projected to hit Royal Ascot and other sporting events this week, temperatures are expected to soar for the next seven days and it looks set to be a scorcher across the United Kingdom.

In fact, the latest heatwave is projected to see the UK record its hottest day of 2025 so far, with experts suggesting that the current hottest figure of 29.4C will be surpassed over the weekend.

William Hill have priced that particular market at Even money ahead of the weekend while it is a 12/1 chance that the hottest June temperature on record (35/7C from 1976) is broken.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Despite an unsettled start to June, the UK is bracing itself for another flash of hot weather this weekend, with the odds suggesting that the nation will be hotter than Barbados at 1/10.

“We’re even-money that the hottest day 2025 so far will be recorded between now and next Monday, while the June weather record of 35.7c may also be under threat – it’s 12/1 that the incoming Iberian blast surpasses that this time around.”
