Bank Holiday heatwave odds-on to break 32.8C May record

Record-breaking Bank Holiday Monday temperature odds slashed from EVS to 8/11, with parts of the UK set to be hotter than Ibiza.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We’ve had to cut the odds on this May Bank Holiday Monday becoming the hottest on record to 8/11, after previously quoting the market at even-money yesterday.

“The move comes as forecasts have intensified, with the Met Office now saying temperatures could peak at 33C on Monday in southern England and the Midlands, putting the longstanding May record of 32.8C firmly under threat.”
