Cincinnati Open Predictions: Best Bets for Saturday August 15th 2026

Saturday sees the start of the round of 64 at the 2026 Cincinnati Open. Here are some of our tennis betting picks.

Rafael Jódar vs. Denis Shapovalov

After three impressive wins over Lorenzo Musetti, Arthur Fils, and Jiří Lehečka, Rafael Jódar fell at the semi-final stage in Montreal. The Spaniard enters the Cincinnati Open in the second round and will face Denis Shapovalov on Saturday.

Shapovalov dropped only five games in his win over Adrian Mannarino. The 27-year-old has had a difficult few months. A win over Jódar earlier this season will give the Canadian confidence, but the young Spaniard has come on leaps and bounds since then.

The recent form these two players have exhibited shows there’s a real chasm between them.

Novak Djokovic vs. Thiago Agustín Tirante

Novak Djokovic is heavily favoured for his matchup with Thiago Agustín Tirante. Tirante won two of the three tie breaks against Jan Choinski to reach the round of 64.

At a career-high of 50th in the world, Tirante beat Taylor Fritz in Montreal and put in several strong performances on clay. Djokovic hasn’t played since Wimbledon, so there’s no concern about the veteran’s freshness.

There have been some slip-ups from Djokovic in recent months, but this is a matchup he should be able to take care of with relative ease.

Katie Boulter vs. Linda Nosková

Katie Boulter booked a matchup with Linda Nosková by beating Katie Volynets in an entertaining three-set duel in the round of 128. Boulter won against Nosková in straight sets in Japan last year, but there’s no question the Czech is the clear favourite to win this one.

Consistency, though, has been hard to come by for Nosková. The 21-year-old’s last three tournaments have three first-round exits and two titles, including her first Grand Slam win at Wimbledon.

Boulter had lost her last four first-round matches before seeing off Volynets. We fancy Nosková to get back on track after her disappointing loss in Toronto.

Taylor Townsend vs. Elena Rybakina

Coming from a set down against Camila Osorio presents Taylor Townsend’s second-ever meeting with Elena Rybakina. Townsend is 94th in the world rankings and has not beaten a top 50 player outside of Marie Bouzková since last year’s U.S. Open.

Rybakina was a finalist in Toronto after a string of disappointing results across grass and clay. The Kazakh star is at her best on hard courts.

It’s no secret that Rybakina is vulnerable to upsets, and there have been plenty in 2026. Still, she’s the far superior player here and should be able to blow Townsend away.
