Queens Park Rangers preview – Another surprise package who haven’t lost in Championship combat. Jimmy Dunne header the winner sealing Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers and I must say Tariq Lamptey’s dinked cross for the goal was a thing of beauty.

Cardiff City preview – Three successive draws is a solid consolidation on the Bluebirds’ return to Championship membership beyond League One promotion.

Cardiff boss Brian Barry-Murphy said: “We’ve been creating enough chances to win games and it is all I can ask of my players really.”

Score prediction: Rangers rock on 3-1.

Burnley v Middlesbrough Prediction

Kick-off: 8pm
Rankings: 22nd versus 5th

Burnley preview – Could it be Burnley become the new Leicester City by dismally enduring consecutive relegations? The Clarets slumber third bottom nursing a single point.

Saturday’s 4-1 trouncing at Norwich City will set alarm bells ringing. I am worried that new boss Nicky Hayen has no previous experience of English football.

Middlesbrough preview – Nicely placed in fifth reflecting two wins among three outings. New £10 million signing Will Lankshear has rattled six League and Cup goals already for Boro including two within Saturday’s 3-1 home eclipse of West Bromwich Albion.
