Chelsea predictions 2025/26

Chelsea head into the 2025/26 season as Conference League and Club World Cup champions, but can they add more silverware to their already stacked trophy cabinet in this campaign?

Chelsea will compete in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup this season. Here we take a look at their chances in each of those competitions and what we can expect from Enzo Maresca’s side.

Premier League – 8/1

Chelsea have now gone eight seasons without winning the Premier League title. Their last victory come under the stewardship of Antonio Conte, with legends such as Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kanté and César Azpilicueta leading them to glory in the 2016/17 campaign.

They head into this season as 8/1 fourth-favourites for the title, behind Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. Their fourth-place finish last season was better than many had expected of them and they’ll look to improve on that this year.

They were heavily reliant on Cole Palmer last season – and when his goals dried up, so did the team’s points. They have reinforced this summer, spending significant sums on the likes of João Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap. Those attacking reinforcements, combined with an ever-improving defence, could be the key to a prolonged title charge from the Blues this season.

Champions League – 14/1

This year will be Enzo Maresca’s first taste of Champions League football as a manager and Chelsea’s first since the 2022/23 season.

Their European pedigree has not taken any hits in that time, though, winning the only European trophy they’ve competed for in that time as they lifted the Conference League trophy back in May.

The Blues remain the only team in London to have won the European Cup and their status on the continental stage earned them their spot in the Club World Cup, which they duly won by beating the current Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

At 14/1, Chelsea could prove to be good value in this year’s Champions League betting as they look to make a splash on Europe’s biggest stage for the first time since winning the competition back in 2021.

FA Cup – 15/2

The FA Cup has brought plenty of joy to Chelsea fans, starting with their first win in 1970 in a memorable two-leg final against Leeds. Since then the Blues have won it a further seven times, with their best run coming between 2007 and 2012, when they won four of the six editions.

The competition has not been so kind to them recently, though. Losing out at Wembley in 2020, 2021 and 2022, Chelsea became the first side to lose three consecutive FA Cup finals. They have not returned to that stage since but with a deeper squad than most other sides and a clear willingness to compete for all available silverware, you couldn’t count them out of winning this year’s competition at 15/2.

League Cup – 8/1

With the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup to focus on this season, there is every chance we could see Enzo Maresca choosing to rotate his squad in the League Cup.

That said, Chelsea have strength in depth and their second-choice eleven is probably capable of beating most sides in England and can certainly be competitive with other top teams.

It’s now 10 years since Chelsea last lifted this trophy and they’ll be keen to end that drought as they aim to reassert themselves as England’s most successful club of the 21st century.

If they can rotate well to get through the early rounds then their price of 8/1 will surely shorten as they begin to get more serious about winning a sixth League Cup.
