Indian Wells Open Round Of 32: Sinner & Alcaraz Amongst Stars On Show

| BY Sam Cox

The Round of 32 at the Indian Wells kicks off on Sunday evening, with Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz among the stars taking the court.

Denis Shapovalov vs Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner is the overwhelming tennis betting favourite for his matchup with Denis Shapovalov in the round of 32 at Indian Wells. Sinner dropped only two games to Dalibor Svrčina in his first matchup in this tournament, while has taken six sets to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas and Tomás Martín Etcheverry.

Shapovalov won the first set against Sinner at the US Open a few months ago but ultimately lost in four. It was only their second meeting after the Canadian defeated Sinner at the 2021 Australian Open.

While Shapovalov impressed in his last two matches, Sinner is a wholly different challenge.

Pick: Jannik Sinner -5.5 games (8/11)

Carlos Alcaraz vs Arthur Rinderknech

Carlos Alcaraz hasn’t dropped a set to Arthur Rinderknech in their last three matches. Rinderknech has never beaten the Spaniard.

In fact, Alcaraz is now 13-0 in 2026 after a routine win over Gregor Dimitrov. Rinderknech earned a first-round bye and a walkover to reach the round of 32, leaving him with a 5-5 record since the turn of the year.

A win over Jack Draper is Rinderknech’s highlight of 2026. He was seen off comfortably by Alcaraz last month and lost emphatically to Andrey Rublev in Dubai.

Pick: Under 18.5 total games (4/5)

Emma Raducanu vs Amanda Anisimova

Emma Raducanu hammered Anastasia Zakharova in the round of 32 to book a matchup with Amanda Anisimova on Sunday. Anisimova, a finalist at Wimbledon and the US Open last year, lost the first set of her round of 32 match but dropped a single game over the final two sets.

These players have met on three previous occasions, all of which were in 2025. Raducanu won the first two contests before Anisimova’s win in Montreal.

Anisimova is rightly favoured. Despite Raducanu’s win over Zakharova, the Brit has her work cut out here.

Pick: Amanda Anisimova -4.5 games (Evens)

Camila Osorio vs Naomi Osaka

Camila Osorio has set up a clash with Naomi Osaka after emphatically beating Sloane Stephens and digging deep to see off Iva Jovic. The 24-year-old Colombian has been on a good run and poses a threat to Osaka.

Qualifier Victoria Jiménez Kasintseva was seen off with relative ease by Osaka. It’s not been a great few months for the four-time Slam winner with a string of disappointing showings.

It’s one win apiece in the head-to-head stakes with Osorio beating Osaka in this event 12 months ago. This should be a competitive match.

Pick: Camila Osorio +3.5 games (8/11)
