Carlos Alcaraz & Jakub Mensik vs Alex Michelsen & Taylor Fritz Prediction – Laver Cup 2025 Tips

Our betting preview ahead of the Laver Cup doubles match as Team Europe representatives Carlos Alcaraz and Jakub Mensik prepare to face Alex Michelsen and Taylor Fritz of Team World.
The 2025 Laver Cup gets underway on Friday 19th September and much of the attention will be on world number one Carlos Alcaraz as he bids to help Team Europe clinch back-to-back victories in the competition.
The recently crowned US Open champion competes in his first event since becoming a six-time Grand Slam winner and he will team up with Czech star Jakub Mensik.
It’ll be interesting to see if Alcaraz and Mensik can form a strong partnership on the court, with many labelling Mensik as a potential future Grand Slam winner himself. There’s certainly no shortage of talent in this pairing.
Laver Cup Doubles Match Odds:
Punters can bet on the upcoming Laver Cup doubles match at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Team Europe (Alcaraz & Mensik) – 8/11
- Team World (Michelsen & Fritz) – Evens
By the time that these four players take to the court for the doubles match, Mensik and Michelsen will have already clashed in the singles earlier in the evening and so both players will have had an opportunity to weigh each other up.
We already know plenty about Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz, and both are capable of making an impact on this match. In terms of the hard court, Fritz is one of the best servers in the game and his first serve success will be crucial to the outcome.
It’ll be interesting to see how both players adjust to the doubles game. Alcaraz and Fritz both bring a bit of experience on that front, so it may come down to which of Mensik or Michelsen best copes with the switch.
For both players, it is the opportunity of a lifetime – and it’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top. Team Europe are narrow favourites for the doubles match, probably due to the inclusion of Alcaraz, but Team World may prove to be the better pairing.
Match Prediction: Team World to win (EVENS)
