Cincinnati Open Predictions: Best Bets for Tuesday August 18th 2026

| BY Sam Cox

Tuesday’s Cincinnati Open slate features some excellent tennis betting opportunities across the men’s and women’s round of 32.

Cincinnati Open Predictions Tuesday:

  • Brandon Nakashima to win (11/10)
  • Over 22.5 games (17/20)
  • Marta Kostyuk -6.5 games (11/10)
  • Aryna Sabalenka -5.5 games (8/11)

Brandon Nakashima vs. Daniil Medvedev

In three meetings, Brandon Nakashima has taken one set off Daniil Medvedev. Nakashima lost the final to Medvedev in Brisbane earlier this year.

The form of Nakashima is encouraging, though. Returning to the United States has seen a semi-final in Washington followed by a run to the final in Montreal, which included a string of impressive wins.

Since reaching the last four in Rome, Medvedev’s record is poor. He fell at the first hurdle in Montreal and only made the round of 32 at Wimbledon. We fancy Nakashima’s chances.

Michael Zheng vs. Lorenzo Musetti

After beating Ugo Humbert, Michael Zheng is only a slight underdog for his first matchup with Lorenzo Musetti. The Italian has been knocked out by Rafael Jódar at the last two events.

Since having to retire from the quarterfinal of the Australian Open, Musetti’s form has been pretty underwhelming.

Zheng, who beat Cam Norrie at Wimbledon, hasn’t done much else to suggest he can beat a player of Musetti’s calibre. This is a tough match to call.

Marta Kostyuk vs. Sloane Stephens

Sloane Stephens defied the odds to beat Anastasia Potapova in straight sets. Her reward is a first matchup with Marta Kostyuk, who came from a set down to beat Sofia Kenin in the second round.

Stephens, who is ranked 240th in the world, is a massive outsider for this contest. Kostyuk is one of the world’s form players and hasn’t lost to a player outside the world’s top 12 since the Australian Open.

Stephens’ win over Potapova was her first victory against a top 40 player since June 2024. This should be a routine win for Kostyuk.

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Xinyu Wang

Aryna Sabalenka made light work of Talia Gibson in her first match at this tournament. It’s been a more complicated path to the third round for Xinyu Wang, who overcame a qualifier in the first round before winning from a set down against Donna Vekić.

Wang hasn’t been at her best. She fell in the first round in Toronto, lost to the world number 70 in Washington, and was thoroughly outplayed by Belinda Bencic at Wimbledon.

Sabalenka is back on her favoured hard courts and will take some stopping in Cincinnati.
