Hyundai Card Super Match Predictions: Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner

Tennis Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, the two best players in the world of tennis right now, will compete in a friendly exhibition match in South Korea on Saturday morning.

Known as the ‘Hyundai Card Super Match’, tennis fans from around the globe will be tuning in to watch Alcaraz and Sinner strut their stuff in front of a sell-out crowd in Incheon this weekend.

Currently boasting the top two spots in the ATP world rankings, Sinner and Alcaraz both opted to abstain from competing in any official tournaments ahead of this year’s Australian Open but the lucrative Hyundai Card Super Match was too good to turn down.

According to a leading European media publication, world number one Alcaraz and world number two Sinner will earn around £1.735 million each for competing at the exhibition event at the Inspire Arena on 10th January 2026.

Comparatively, the winner of this week’s Brisbane International will receive an estimated £86,000 for lifting the trophy while the Hong Kong Open champion will receive £79,000 for emerging victorious in that tournament.

The top players at the United Cup could earn a maximum of £775,000 but only if they avoid defeat throughout the competition. So there is no question to be asked when it comes to the financial lure of competing in a one-off ‘Super Match’ or one of the more traditional Australian Open warm-up events.

Reaching the Australian Open final will see players receive around £1.6 million so that is another huge financial incentive. In years gone by, the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer have participated in the event so it’s not like Alcaraz and Sinner are the first to prioritise the pocket.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner History

The Spaniard and the Italian clashed six times in 2025, with Alcaraz coming out on top on four occasions – including in the US Open and Roland Garros finals.

However, Sinner gained revenge on his great rival in the Wimbledon final and the Italian will be desperate to deliver the first knockout blow in 2026 as this fantastic rivalry enters a new chapter.

What Time Is The Hyundai Card Super Match?

The match will take place at 7am UK time on Saturday 10th January 2026, with fans able to watch the contest via the Tennis Channel.

Alcaraz vs Sinner Prediction:

It’s a difficult contest to call as you never quite know how cooked the players will be for an exhibition match but I’d be tempted to go with Carlos Alcaraz. He is the more flamboyant of the two players so could try to put on a show for those in attendance.
