Novak Djokovic Retirement Odds: 5/1 To Hang Up His Racquet After Australian Open
Novak Djokovic is 5/1 with William Hill to retire after this year’s Australian Open.
Despite his age, the 38-year-old remains a major contender in the outright market and is priced at 10/1 to lift the Australian Open trophy for an 11th time. Defending champion Jannik Sinner heads the betting at 10/11 to his third-straight title in Melbourne, with Carlos Alcaraz close behind at 6/4.

- Jannik Sinner To Win More Grand Slams In 2026 Than Carlos Alcaraz – 4/6
- Carlos Alcaraz To Win More Grand Slams In 2026 Than Jannik Sinner – 11/10
- 2026 Australian Open To Be The Last Grand Slam Novak Djokovic Plays In – 5/1
- Carlos Alcaraz & Jannik Sinner To Appear In The Final Of All 4 2026 Grand Slams – 12/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Speculation continues to intensify around Novak Djokovic’s retirement and it is one of the biggest talking points heading into this year’s Australian Open.
“We go 5/1 for Melbourne to be his final ever Grand Slam appearance. While that naturally sparks debate about the future, he’s still very much in the mix and is 10/1 to win the title in what could prove to be the final chapter in an incredible career.
Sinner is also favoured in the longer-term rivalry markets, priced at 4/6 to win more Grand Slams than Alcaraz in 2026, with the Spaniard available at 11/10. The pair have shared each of the last eight majors, winning four each.
Sinner and Alcaraz contested three of the four Grand Slam finals last year, with the Australian Open the only major where both did not reach the final – largely due to Alcaraz’s relative struggles in Melbourne. Sinner, by contrast, featured in every Grand Slam final across the calendar year. The pair are priced at 12/1 to contest all four Grand Slam finals this season.
Australian Open Outright Winner Odds:
Punters can bet on the 2026 Australian Open at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Jannik Sinner – 10/11
- Carlos Alcaraz – 6/4
- Novak Djokovic – 10/1
- Bar – 20/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “At the top of the outright market, Jannik Sinner is the 10/11 favourite to claim the winner’s share for Australian Open prize money, with Carlos Alcaraz close behind at 6/4.
“Despite both players winning two Grand Slams apiece last year, Sinner’s consistency, particularly in Melbourne, where Alcaraz has struggled, has seen the Italian installed as the market leader.
“That consistency is also reflected in our longer-term markets, with Sinner priced at 4/6 to win more Grand Slams than Alcaraz in 2026, compared to 11/10 for the Spaniard.
“Given Sinner and Alcaraz contested three of the four Grand Slam finals last season, the pair are priced at 12/1 to meet in all four finals this year, which would underline just how dominant their rivalry has become.”
