US Open Predictions Today: Best Bets on Sunday 30th August 2026

| BY Sam Cox

The US Open begins on Sunday, August 30. Here are our best tennis betting picks from Sunday’s slate.

US Open Predictions Today:

  • Luca Van Assche +3.5 games (Evens)
  • Thiago Agustín Tirante -4.5 games (4/5)
  • Katie Boulter to win 2-1 (29/10)
  • Marta Kostyuk -5.5 games (4/6)

Cam Norrie vs Luca Van Assche Prediction

Meeting for a third time, Cam Norrie has been pretty dominant against Luca Van Assche to date. Norrie, though, has had a difficult year outside of a couple of wins over Alex De Minaur.

Van Assche is at a career-high in the rankings after winning in Quebec City, Parma, and Estoril. He’s beaten Alexander Blockx, Andrey Rublev, and Tallon Griekspoor in 2026.

Should Norrie really be favoured so heavily here? Yes, he’s got the pedigree, but his form is far from encouraging, and he fell at the first round in the last two Slams.

Thiago Agustín Tirante vs Adrian Mannarino Prediction

Adrian Mannarino achieved his best US Open showing in 2025. Thiago Agustín Tirante is making his first appearance in the first round of this tournament, and sits at a career-best of 42nd in the world.

The Argentine was a quarterfinalist in Cincinnati, which included a win over Novak Djokovic.

Mannarino has lost his last four matches. A 12-13 record in 2026 doesn’t suggest the veteran can overcome Tirante, who looked in good form in Ohio last week.

Carol Young Suh Lee vs Katie Boulter Prediction

Despite an 83-place advantage in the world rankings, Katie Boulter is only a narrow favourite for her matchup with Carol Young Suh Lee on Sunday.

Awarded a wild card, Suh Lee is in unprecedented territory in the first round of a Slam for the first time in her career. She’s never beaten a player inside the world’s top 70.

Boulter’s form has been poor since a run to the semis at Queen’s, though. She’s won one of her last six matches.

Marta Kostyuk vs Storm Hunter Prediction

Marta Kostyuk handed Storm Hunter a double bagel when they last met, though that was back in 2020. Hunter is ranked 169th in the world, but beat Darja Semeņistaja, Maddison Inglis, and Ku Yeon-woo to qualify for her second Grand Slam first round since the 2023 Australian Open.

It’s been a phenomenal year for Kostyuk. She’s not been quite as impressive on hard courts as she was during the middle of summer, but there’s no question she’s got a shot at a deep run at Flushing Meadows.

We don’t expect Kostyuk will have to get out of second gear to win this one.
