Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic
In what is undoubtedly the tie of the round, World Number One Jannik Sinner faces off against six-time Wimbledon Champion Novak Djokovic.
Sinner is preferred in the contest at 4/9, with Djokovic rated the underdog at 7/4. Both players arrive here in good form, but it was Sinner’s dismantling of Ben Shelton in the quarter-final, beating the American in straight sets, that has seen the Italian really state his case in the pursuit of his first Wimbledon title.
He had looked to be in serious trouble in his previous tie against Grigor Dimitrov, who was two up in sets before an unfortunate retirement due to injury, which saw Sinner progress by default – if Dimitrov wasn’t to have got injured, it would have likely been a different story. However, his performance against Shelton has proven that was likely a blip.
Djokovic’s tournament has shown his class on the surface so far, despite coming into the tournament with doubts over his fitness, he has shown why he is considered one of the greatest players of all time. He won’t have it all his own way here, due to his physical regression but his match awareness, mental strength and strategic ability make him a seriously tricky customer for Sinner. He has to be of interest at 7/4 here.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Taylor Fritz
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz (1/6) takes on American Taylor Fritz (4/1), who’s making an impressive run as the last American man standing.
Alcaraz cruised past Cameron Norrie to reach the semis, while Fritz has been electric on grass this season, winning 13 of 14 matches.
Although Alcaraz is a heavy favourite, unbeaten by Fritz in their two meetings, Taylor’s powerful serve, consistent baseline game, and momentum could make this a closer contest than expected.
It’s hard to see past Alcaraz here, he’s probably too short for a bet at the prices, but you can get a nice price on a straight sets victory at 11/10.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Amanda Anisimova
Top seed Aryna Sabalenka goes head‑to‑head with the resurgent Amanda Anisimova, who has surprised many with her run to the semi-finals.
Sabalenka, known for her power and dominance in Grand Slams, is considered the strong favourite in the tie at 1/3 but must remain wary of Anisimova’s form and big-hitting style.
Sabalenka should see this out, and looks a good bet in the game handicap markets, where she is 6/5 to cover a -4.5 spread.
Iga Świątek vs Belinda Bencic
Former World Number One Iga Świątek (3/10) meets Belinda Bencic (5/2), who is through to her first Wimbledon semi-final following a strong return after a period off the court.
Świątek, a five-time Grand Slam champion, has improved significantly on grass this tournament. Bencic has been excellent, mixing craft and grit, though physical issues like a broken toenail could be a concern.
This is likely to be a fascinating tactical battle as Świątek tests Bencic’s resilience under pressure.
Swiatek looks to hold all the aces, and whilst she looks short, a win double with Sabalenka looks like a good bet at 0.73/1.
