Alex Kingston odds cut for Strictly glory
Alex Kingston has danced her way into contention for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing crown, with the actress’ odds to win the show slashed following another dazzling performance on Saturday night.
The actress has been one of the breakout performers of the series, and punters have taken notice — she’s now into 4/1 from 7/1 to lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy, closing the gap on early favourite George Clarke, who remains at 11/10.
Kingston’s lively routine drew high praise from the judges and plenty of social media buzz, sparking a surge of bets that saw her price tumble into second place in the outright market. She now sits level with Lewis Cope, who is also a 4/1 chance after a strong couple of weeks.
Reality star Vicky Pattison remains in the mix at 8/1, while Ellie Goldstein has been clipped slightly to 11/1 as she continues to impress viewers with her charm and confidence. Behind them, Karen Carney (16/1) and Amber Davies (33/1) lead the chasing pack, with drag performer La Voix (50/1) and athlete Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (50/1) bigger outsiders.
Rylan Clark Joins Fleur East as Joint Favourite to Host
Away from the dance floor, there’s been plenty of movement in the Next Host market as well. With Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepping down after the current series, speculation continues to build over who will replace them.
There’s been no official confirmation of who will step into the role next, leaving fans of the show and punters alike to speculate who will take on the mantle.
Rylan Clark has seen his odds cut dramatically from 5/1 to 5/2, making him joint favourite alongside Fleur East at the top of the market. Emma Willis is next best at 3/1, while Hannah Waddingham continues to attract interest at 4/1.
Further down the list, Janette Manrara and Zoe Ball are joint 9/2, with Holly Willoughby (6/1) and current judge Anton Du Beke (7/1) also in the mix.

“Kingston still trails George Clarke who is the 11/10 favourite but is now joint with Lewis Cope at 4/1. Vicky Pattison is in with a chance at 8/1 ahead of Ellie Goldstein, next in at 11/1.
“There’s been a shake up away from the dancefloor as well, as Rylan Clark has become the 5/2 joint favourite (from 5/1) to become the next host of the show alongside Fleur East.”
