Britain’s Got Talent – Latest Odds and Predictions ahead of Semi-final 5
As the fifth semi-final approaches and the Grand Final on 30 May draws near, the Britain’s Got Talent betting markets have shifted dramatically, looking almost unrecognisable from where they started.
Cast your mind back to early march, when we first opened up the BGT 2026 outright market. Back then, Rafferty Coope led the way at 8/1 with Sonny Green a relatively unconsidered 14/1 shot. A lot has happened since.
When it kicked-off in March, Rafferty Coope, the 16-year-old magician from Hampshire, led the outright market at 8/1, and his success through the public votes has clipped him into 9/2 to go all the way. He’s not the most notable mover however, Sonny Green, the market trader and poet, opened up at 14/1 but has since plummeted into favouritism at 7/4 after earning KSI’s golden buzzer in semi-final 4.
What does the market look like now?
The headline shift is impossible to ignore. Sonny Green, the market trader turned poet, earned KSI’s Golden Buzzer in semi-final 4 after an emotional poem about his relationship with his sons left the judges in tears. The market has responded emphatically. Green is now the outright favourite to win at 7/4, a dramatic move from the 14/1 he opened up at.
Meanwhile, Rafferty Coope won semi-final 4 on the public vote and secured his spot in the Grand Final. The 16-year-old magician from Hampshire was initially installed as the 8/1 favourite to win the competition when the markets opened and, having now converted public votes into a semi-final win, he has been trimmed to 9/2, a meaningful move in the right direction as the final approaches.
Beyond those two, there is plenty of interest elsewhere in the market. Matty Juniosa landed a golden buzzer in semi-final 1 and has settled into the second-favourite position at 4/1, with his guaranteed place in the final giving him time to build further public support. Next up are Lucchiano & Frankie, the intergenerational singing duo who honed their act performing in care homes, are 13/2 shots and it’s exactly the kind of heartwarming backstory that BGT voters have always rewarded. The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir, who earned Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer and perform to raise awareness of mental health in farming, are in just behind at 15/2.
The current picture
As the market stands, Sonny Green leads the way at 7/4, followed by Matty Juinosa at 4/1, Rafferty Coope at 9/2, followed by Luchianno & Frankie sitting at 13/2 and The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir outside them at 15/2.
It is worth noting that since the golden buzzer was introduced in Series 8, only three eventual winners have come via that route, so all eyes will be on Sonny Green and The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir to see if they can follow up on their golden performances in the semi-finals.
For those looking for value, Rafferty Coope is the interesting case. He came into the competition as the favourite in March, drifted as the series played out, and has now re-emerged as a genuine contender having proven he can win the hearts of the public when it comes to the vote. at 5/1, the market respects him without going overboard.
The fifth and last semi-final on Saturday with shape the final picture further, but for now, Green leads, Juniosa and Coope chase, and the May 30 Grand Final is shaping up to be one of the most open in recent BGT history.
