The prospect of the next 007 being a woman has gained momentum over recent weeks, and William Hill are offering 16/1 that Daniel Craig’s replacement breaks the male-lead tradition.

While Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the clear favourite at EVS, ahead of Henry Cavill (2/1) and Callum Turner (3/1), speculation continues to swirl that producers could opt for a female lead in the famous spy franchise.
Among the names linked, No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch leads the female charge at 50/1, followed by Suranne Jones and T’Nia Miller (both 66/1). White Lotus actress Meghann Fahy and Killing Eve star Jodie Comer are also outsiders at 100/1.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Talk of the next James Bond being female has been circulating for years, and we go 16/1 that producers break tradition and opt for a woman to be the new face of 007.
“While Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the favourite in the outright market at even money, Lashana Lynch, who played Nomi in No Time To Die, is 50/1 to step into the lead role and is the shortest-priced female candidate.
“There’s also support for stars such as Suranne Jones and T’Nia Miller, both 66/1 to fill the shoes of Daniel Craig. Meghann Fahy and Jodie Comer are longer shots to be cast as Bond, priced 100/1 each.”
