Lacey Turner new favourite for Strictly Come Dancing

| BY News Team

EastEnders star Lacey Turner has been backed into joint favouritism to win this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing, according to William Hill.

After sustained support throughout July, Turner has shortened from 6/1 into 4/1 and now shares favouritism with Dani Dyer, who was forced to withdraw from last year’s series through injury before the competition began.

Love Island star Cach Mercer is next in the betting at 13/2, ahead of Australian singer Delta Goodrem (7/1). Paralympic legend Sarah Storey and actress Bethany Antonia are both 8/1, while Jaime Winstone is 9/1 and Big Brother presenter Will Best is 10/1. Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton is available at 14/1, with former England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips a 16/1 outsider.

Strictly Come Dancing 2026 odds

  • Lacey Turner – 4/1
  • Dani Dyer – 4/1
  • Cach Mercer – 13/2
  • Delta Goodrem – 7/1
  • Sarah Storey – 8/1
  • Bethany Antonia – 8/1
  • Jaime Winstone – 9/1
  • Will Best – 10/1
  • Chris Appleton – 14/1
  • Shaun Wright-Philips – 16/1

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Dani Dyer’s return after last year’s injury heartbreak would undoubtedly be one of the feel-good stories of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, and she’s been among the favourites ever since the market opened (4/1).

“However, Lacey Turner has been the big mover in the market throughout July, with sustained support seeing the EastEnders star shorten from 6/1 into 4/1 to join Dani at the head of the betting. If the money keeps coming, she could yet spoil what many are hoping will be Dani’s fairytale return to the ballroom.

“Love Island’s Cach Mercer is next in our betting at 13/2 and has already shown he can dance on our television screens, while Delta Goodrem remains well fancied at 7/1. Paralympic icon Sarah Storey and actress Bethany Antonia are both 8/1, with Jaime Winstone (9/1) and Big Brother presenter Will Best (10/1) also among the leading contenders.”
