After a blockbuster year of television in 2023, this year certainly doesn’t look likely to disappoint as all of the nation’s favourite shows are set to return.

Below we take you through all of the most notable TV events to keep an eye out for in 2024.

Let’s dive in!

Dancing on Ice

Dancing on Ice is the first major TV event to hit our screens in 2024 as this year’s contestants prepare for a fiercely competitive nine weeks of skating action.

The show is likely to kick off on Sunday 14th January and despite a 12-strong lineup of big names, the headline news is that Holly Willoughby is returning to host the show once again, alongside Stephen Mulhern.

The early frontrunners to win the show include Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire who heads the market at 3/1, with former Love Islander Amber Davies (7/2), with Team GB Gold medallist Greg Rutherford (6/1) also well in contention.

Love Island All Stars

Love Island is back but like we’ve never seen it before in 2024 as the winter edition is being replaced by an “All Stars” series.

The series will feature stars from previous Love Island series who took the programme by storm, with names such as Chloe Burrows, Ovie Soko and Georgia Harrison all heavily rumoured to appear on the show.

There is no specific date confirmed but ITV has announced that the new series will kick off in South Africa in January 2024, so we will not have to wait long to find out which stars will be back in the Love Island Villa.

The Apprentice

The Apprentice has been a staple of the British TV calendar since it’s inception in in 2005 and Lord Sugar will be on the lookout for his next business partner for the 18th time this year.

The show is set to start in February with Karren Brady and Tim Campbell returning as Lord Sugar’s aides. Tim has already stated that he believes series 18 will feature “the best candidate group ever”, so it certainly won’t be one to miss.

Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing’s latest series has only just come to a close as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola lifted the Glitterball Trophy on the 16th of December, but excitement is already beginning to build around which famous faces we could see on the ballroom floor in 2024.

One man eyeing up a victory in 2024 will be Johannes Radebe who finished fourth last year, in what was his fifth season on the show. Fans commented that Radebe “left his mark” once again and there will surely be many hoping to see the South African take first spot this year.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

It is also not long since Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle but the rumour mill is very much in motion when it comes to who will be heading back down under next winter.

Good Morning Britain star Richard Arnold is heavily rumoured to be on the list, whilst Wayne Rooney, Boris Johnson and Sarah Ferguson could all find themselves jetting out to Australia later this year.
