Strictly Come Dancing 2020: Couple’s Choice tops the Bill

| BY News Team

Having Nicola Adams and Jason Bell slip into the bottom two last week showed that nobody is safe on Strictly at the moment.

Bill Bailey, Maisie Smith and Ranvir Singh wowed the judges last week, but we’re at a stage where progression from elsewhere can be rapid enough to turn previous form on its head.

We’ve taken a look at where the couples stand heading into Week 4.

Bill & Oti

After a pulsating Paso Doble last week, Bill & Oti are now the clear favourites to claim the Glitterball Trophy at 13/8.

They’ve got Couples Choice this week and will be dancing The Sugarhill Gang’s Rapper’s Delight.

Any improvement on last week and we might not be far away from seeing our first 10 of the series…

Masie & Gorka

Maisie has struck many as the most naturally gifted and athletic celebrities competing this year and is a firm second favourite at 9/4.

The EastEnders actress will need to find her best rhythm on Saturday night, as she’s taking on the Cha Cha with partner Gorka.

HRVY & Janette

They didn’t set the world alight last week but HRVY has shown plenty of early promise and makes up a clear top three in the betting at 3/1, with Max George next in the market at a distant 12/1.

The gap between him and the chasing pack may close if HRVY has an average week so there’s plenty resting on this week’s Salsa.

Best of the rest

Despite landing nines across the board last week, Ranvir & Giovanni are still outsiders at 14/1.

They recorded the highest score of the series thus far with 27 points for a foot-perfect Foxtrot and could impress again this week with a Cha Cha danced to the beat of Oye Como Va/I Like it Like That?

Dressed as Hercules and lining up after a disappointing Week 2, Jamie Laing pulled off a Herculean performance last Saturday to notch 23 points but is still bottom of the pile in terms of the betting at 50/1.

Another big step forward for the Made In Chelsea star this weekend when taking on the Samba and that price could shorten.
