Strictly Come Dancing Odds 2025: Lewis Cope Leaps To Top Of Betting

The Strictly Come Dancing 2025 betting market has seen a major shake-up in recent days, with a new name emerging at the head of the pack.
After a surge of support, Emmerdale star Lewis Cope has taken over as the outright favourite with William Hill, moving ahead of long-time frontrunner Ellie Goldstein.

Lewis Cope has leapt to the top of William Hill’s market to be crowned the winner of the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Emmerdale star has shortened into 3/1 from 4/1, replacing actress Ellie Goldstein (10/3) as the favourite for the new series.
Strictly Come Dancing 2025 Outright Winner Odds
- Lewis Cope – 3/1
- Ellie Goldstein – 10/3
- Dani Dyer – 9/2
- Karen Carney – 9/1
- Vicky Pattison – 10/1
- George Clarke – 10/1
- Alex Kingston – 14/1
- Harry Aikines-Aryeetey – 14/1
- BAR – 18/1
Actress Dani Dyer currently occupies third spot in the market at 9/2, with ex-footballer turned sports journalist Karen Carney next in the betting at 9/1.
This marks a significant change in the outright market, as Ellie Goldstein had previously been a commanding favourite since the initial announcement of the cast. Goldstein, who made headlines as one of the first models with a disability to feature on the cover of Vogue, continues to attract plenty of interest, but momentum now lies firmly with Cope.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With the stars set to take to the Strictly ballroom in under three weeks’ time, there’s been a notable betting move with Emmerdale’s Lewis Cope shooting to the top of our market to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
“Cope was 4/1 before the weekend but support has seen him shorten into 3/1 favourite, replacing long-time market leader Ellie Goldstein at the head of the betting.
“Dani Dyer is a close third in the market at 9/2, with a bigger gap to Karen Carney at 9/1.”
The betting has become increasingly competitive ahead of launch night. While Cope’s strong fanbase and recent support make him the one to beat in the early market, history shows that Strictly is a marathon, not a sprint. Popularity, performance ability and the all-important public vote will all shape how the odds move once the glitterball action begins.
Away from the top three, the likes of Vicky Pattison and George Clarke (both 10/1) remain prominent outsiders, with Alex Kingston and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (both 14/1) completing the leading pack. Each has the potential to build momentum as the weeks progress, with plenty of examples in previous seasons of dark horses stealing the spotlight.
With just weeks until the first dances are unveiled, anticipation is rising fast. The blend of actors, presenters, athletes and entertainers promises another season of sparkle, drama and show-stopping routines. And with the betting market already shifting, fans and punters alike will be watching closely to see who makes the early impression when the Strictly ballroom lights up once again.
