Strictly Come Dancing Musicals Week: Bill & Oti risk Phantom Tango

| BY News Team

We’re down to the final six in Strictly Come Dancing and the standard so far this year has been superb.

HRVY and Jannette’s 30-point dance last week was the earliest perfect score the show has seen, while the dance-off between Carla and Jamie was nail-bitingly close.

It’s all about bright lights and bravado this week as the dancers take on the Musicals, so here’s a run-down of where our celebrities stand.

Bill & Oti

This year’s 5/6 favourites did not disappoint last week, earning 24 points for a rock-themed jive, but it wasn’t their best performance of the series.

Though still a hit with the public and the clear market leader, HRVY and Maisie are right up there in terms of quality and Bill could be knocked off top spot if this week’s Tango is not up to scratch.

The dance is notoriously hard and can often be a make-or-break routine, so this weekend’s rendition to ‘Phantom Of The Opera’ is eagerly anticipated.

HRVY & Jannette

Flying high from their perfect score last week, HRVY & Jannette will be stepping into their American Smooth in full confidence.

The pair have been trimmed from 3/1 to 5/2 to win the Glitterball Trophy and appear to be on an upward curve.

Maisie & Gorka

Masie’s ability has been there for all to see since the very start, but she has surprisingly found herself in a couple of dance-offs so far. She hit a high of 10/1 two weeks ago having entered the bottom two for the second time.

However, a stunning quickstep last week was met with rave reviews and that saw her and Gorka sail through without having to face the judges.

Another top performance from the EastEnders actress and she may continue to win the fans over at 5/1.

‘The Bottom Three’

As far as the betting is concerned, Ranvir Singh (8/1), Jamie Laing (25/1) and JJ Chalmers (33/1) are the least likely to go all the way.

JJ has struggled towards the bottom of the leaderboard for the past couple of weeks but has managed to inspire the public vote, while last week was the first time Jamie Laing found himself dancing for survival.

Ranvir has been a model of consistency and is yet to slip into the bottom two, but the competition is hotting up and the judges will want to see more.
