Strictly Come Dancing Odds: Karen Carney Now Odds-On Favourite to Win Glitterball Trophy

Strictly Come Dancing Odds Contestants 2025

The battle for the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 Glitterball Trophy has shifted dramatically, with former Lioness Karen Carney now taking firm control of the market.

Karen Carney has been cut into 4/6, making her the clear odds-on favourite heading into the crucial final stages of the competition. Her rise has been one of the standout betting stories of the series, particularly with the momentum she has built since the Blackpool weekend.

Carney had been holding steady at second favourite, but a run of strong performances, combined with an increasingly enthusiastic public backing has seen her leapfrog long-time market leader George Clarke. The former England midfielder has consistently delivered polished routines that have impressed both the judges and voters, and punters have responded accordingly. With just a few shows remaining, the betting now reflects that she’s the one to beat.

Clarke, who only recently traded at even-money, has drifted to 9/4 after losing some of the commanding early-season momentum that had him topping the market for weeks. He remains firmly in contention and is still viewed as a legitimate threat, but the swing in sentiment has been impossible to ignore.

Behind the leading pair, Lewis Cope continues to hold his place as the main danger from the chasing pack at 4/1. His performances have been solid throughout the competition, and although he hasn’t yet produced a routine that has truly shifted the betting landscape, his consistency keeps him well in the race for the final.

In contrast, Amber Davies (33/1) and Balvinder Sopal (50/1) are considered outsiders at this stage. Both would need a major surge in both scores and public voting to challenge the leaders — a scenario that isn’t impossible, but one the market sees as unlikely with so few shows left.

With Strictly now entering its decisive phase, punters tend to gravitate toward contestants who combine technical improvement, public support and momentum. Carney currently checks every box, and the latest odds reflect that confidence. That said, Strictly is known for late twists, emotional performances and big Saturday-night vote swings — factors that can still cause ripples in the outright market. For now, though, Carney is unquestionably the one to catch.

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 – Outright Odds:

  • Karen Carney – 4/6
  • George Clarke – 9/4
  • Lewis Cope – 4/1
  • Amber Davies – 33/1
  • Balvinder Sopal – 50/1

Odds subject to change — prices accurate at time of writing.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Momentum has swung decisively in favour of Karen Carney in our Strictly Come Dancing outright market. Thanks to some convincing routines and surge in public confidence, we’ve had to slash her odds to 4/6 from 7/4, making her our clear favourite.

“George Clarke is still right in the mix at 9/4, but he’s playing catch-up now, with Lewis Cope the other danger in the chasing pack at 4/1. Clarke will have to produce something special on the dance floor if he is to regain top spot in our market, but his fall from even-money to 9/4 could prove too much to overcome.

“Amber Davies and Balvinder Sopal would be shock winners at this late stage of the competition; they’re 33/1 and 50/1 respectively.”
