Strictly Come Dancing Odds Contestants 2025

Lewis Cope has stormed up the Strictly Come Dancing betting market after delivering a showstopping Halloween routine that earned him a perfect score of 40, according to the latest odds from William Hill.

The actor, who wowed both judges and fans over the weekend, has seen his price to lift the Glitterball Trophy cut from 4/1 into 9/4, placing him second favourite for the crown and hot on the heels of early market leader George Clarke, who now drifts slightly to 6/4 from 11/10.

Cope’s electrifying performance marked the first perfect score of the 2025 series, with his precision footwork and stage presence drawing widespread acclaim. The surge in betting interest that followed has made him the main challenger to George Clarke’s previously dominant position in the outright market.

Meanwhile, Alex Kingston continues to impress with her blend of energy and elegance, keeping her firmly in contention as the 7/2 third favourite. Her recent Charleston was described as one of the most entertaining routines of the series so far.

Karen Carney also made a statement with her Argentine Tango, earning 38 points and showing that she’s far more than a footballer out of her comfort zone, now cut to 9/1 from 16/1. Elsewhere, Vicky Pattison remains in the mix at 11/1, and while she hasn’t hit top gear yet, her natural charisma and strong fan base could still make her one to watch as the competition progresses.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Lewis Cope’s perfect 40 on Halloween week sent a shiver down the spine of our traders, who have cut his odds to win the series from 4/1 to 9/4.

“Cope is now second in the outright market to lift the Glitterball Trophy behind George Clarke, whose position as favourite is no longer safe with his odds drifting from 11/10 to 6/4.

“Alex Kingston is another who continues to attract support as our 7/2 third favourite, with her odds clipped from 4/1 before the weekend.

“Karen Carney also impressed, scoring 38 for her Argentine Tango, with her odds being slashed from 16/1 to 9/1 as a result.”

While George Clarke remains the slight favourite, his recent performances haven’t quite matched the high bar set earlier in the competition. Punters are beginning to look elsewhere for value, and Cope’s rapid rise could make the race for the Glitterball one of the tightest in recent series.

Alex Kingston’s blend of charisma and consistency keeps her firmly in contention, while Vicky Pattison lingers at 11/1 as the dark horse of the competition, with the rest trailing further behind.

As we head into the business end of the competition, momentum looks to be firmly with Lewis Cope. With flawless scores, crowd-pleasing routines, and growing public support, he’s emerging as a serious contender to dethrone George Clarke and claim Strictly glory.
