The Odyssey Favourite for Best Picture as Holland Backed for Bond
Christopher Nolan’s box office success The Odyssey is the new 4/6 favourite with William Hill to win the Oscar for Best Picture at the 99th Academy Awards.
The summer blockbuster leads the field, ahead of the final instalment in the Dune trilogy, set for release in December, and Digger, the upcoming Alejandro González Iñárritu picture.
The leading bookmaker also give a price of even-money for The Odyssey to be the UK’s top grossing film in 2026, a benchmark currently held by Michael Jackson biopic Michael.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland, who stars as Telemachus, has also been cut to 12/1 from 20/1 in the Next James Bond market.

At 4/6 to land the prized accolade Christopher Nolan certainly has another Oscar contender on his hands, following the success of Oppenheimer.
“It’s also even-money to be the UK’s highest-grossing film of the year.
“And it looks like Tom Holland’s role as Telemachus hasn’t gone unnoticed either as he’s been cut into 12/1 to be the next Bond from 20/1.”
