Which Strictly Come Dancing Professionals Will Miss Out In 2025?

A recent promotional video has sparked rumours regarding the participation of several Strictly Come Dancing professionals ahead of this year’s series of the popular television show.
According to the latest betting odds at William Hill, Neil Jones and Carlos Gu are both odds-on to miss out on a partner this series.
Jones finished fifth with celebrity partner Alex Scott back in 2019 but he has often been without a partner and he is as short as 1/6 to miss out once again.
Meanwhile, Gu is 10/11 to miss the 2025 edition of Strictly Come Dancing – it would mark the second year in a row where the Chinese dancer was snubbed from being paired up with a celebrity.
Not To Appear On The New Series Of Strictly Odds:
- Neil Jones – 1/6
- Carlos Gu – 10/11
- Katya Jones – 6/4
- Karen Hauer – 7/4
While Gu was without a partner last year, Jones was paired up with Toyah Willcox. The duo crashed out of the competition in Week Two and it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see producers make a switch.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “After several of the Strictly professional dancers were missing from a recent promotional video, speculation about who may miss the upcoming edition of the BBC series is rife.
“Neil Jones has appeared on several series of the show, including last year and when finishing fifth with celebrity partner Alex Scott in 2019, but is just 1/6 to find himself without a partner this time around, ahead of next most likely to miss out, Carlos Gu at 10/11.
“Others who didn’t feature in the recent video, include former Strictly winner Katya Jones and Karen Hauer, who are 6/4 and 7/4 respectively to miss out on the new series.”
With a number of rumours doing the rounds, speculation regarding which celebrities will take part in Strictly 2025 is rife. It won’t be long before the full line-up is complete and the professional partners are officially announced.
