The duel between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, due to be one of the headliners at WrestleMania 41, was cancelled. Owens is dealing with a major neck injury, which is going to keep him sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on My Mom’s Basement podcast, Owens emotionally discussed the impact of missing out on what would have been a career highlight.
“Yeah, I’m okay. I’ve a great support system; my family is great, my co-workers are great, and everything. It sucks, man. Just not getting to wrestle Randy Orton at WrestleMania really sucks. That’s the part that bugs me the most.”
Orton broke character briefly to wish Owens the best with his treatment.
