Wrestlemania 42: Night 2 Tips and Predictions

| BY News Team

Sunday evening brings with it one of the biggest nights in sports entertainment, as WrestleMania 42 Night 2 takes centre stage and William Hill News is ready to predict the outcome.

With championships on the line and storylines reaching their climax, this card is stacked with high-stakes encounters. From generational rivalries to breakout opportunities, every match has something riding on it as WWE’s biggest weekend draws to a close.

WrestleMania 42 Night 2 predictions – Sunday:

Roman Reigns def. CM Punk
Rhea Ripley def. Jade Cargill
Brock Lesnar def. Oba Femi
Trick Williams def. Sami Zayn
Finn Balor def. Dominik Mysterio
Je’Von Evans def. Penta, Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Rusev & JD McDonagh

World Heavyweight Championship

Roman Reigns – 2/5
CM Punk – 7/4

Roman Reigns defends against CM Punk in a true WrestleMania main event spectacle.

Reigns has built an era of dominance and consistently delivers when the lights are brightest. His composure and ability to control big matches make him incredibly difficult to beat on this stage.

Punk, however, is no stranger to high-pressure moments. His return has been fuelled by legacy, and a win here would be one of the defining moments of his career. Expect drama and near falls, but Reigns’ consistency at WrestleMania gives him the edge.

WWE Women’s Championship

Rhea Ripley – 2/5
Jade Cargill – 7/4

Rhea Ripley faces Jade Cargill in a clash of two dominant forces.

Ripley has been one of WWE’s most commanding champions, combining strength with confidence and presence. Cargill, though, represents a serious threat with her physicality and aura.

While this could be a passing-of-the-torch moment in the future, Ripley’s big-match experience may prove crucial in what should be a hard-hitting encounter.

The Ruler vs The Beast

Oba Femi – 2/5
Brock Lesnar – 7/4

Oba Femi takes on Brock Lesnar in a battle built on power and presence.

Femi has quickly established himself as a rising force, but Lesnar is a different level entirely. WrestleMania is where “The Beast” thrives, and his experience in these environments is unmatched.

Femi could use this as a breakout moment, but Lesnar’s pedigree makes him the safer pick in what should be a physical contest.

United States Championship

Trick Williams – 1/3
Sami Zayn – 9/4

Trick Williams defends against Sami Zayn in a compelling mid-card clash.

Williams has strong momentum and continues to grow into his role as champion. Zayn, though, is known for delivering standout WrestleMania performances and thrives in front of big crowds.

It may be closer than the odds suggest, but Williams’ current form should see him retain.

Balor vs Mysterio

‘The Demon’ Finn Balor – 1/7
Dominik Mysterio – 4/1

Finn Balor unleashes his Demon persona against Dominik Mysterio.

The Demon has historically been near unstoppable, especially on major stages. Dominik will need something special to overcome it, but this feels like a showcase for Balor.

Intercontinental Championship – Six-Pack Challenge

Je’Von Evans – 4/7
Penta – 5/4
Rey Mysterio – 8/1
Dragon Lee – 16/1
Rusev – 25/1
JD McDonagh – 25/1

Je’Von Evans defends in a chaotic multi-man match featuring Penta and Rey Mysterio among others.

These matches are always unpredictable, with opportunities for anyone to capitalise. Evans, however, enters as the favourite thanks to his athleticism and momentum.

With so many moving parts, anything can happen, but Evans retaining feels like the most likely outcome.
