BBC Sports Personality: Punters go Cavendish crazy
Mark Cavendish is the new 6/5 favourite to win the BBC Sports Personality of the year, overtaking long-term favourite Darren Clarke (13/8) for the first time.
"A golf major would normally be enough to ensure victory, but 2011 has seen two major winners which could split the golf vote and Darren has been in terrible form since his win. As a result punters have gone Cav crazy and he is the man to beat," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
BBC Sports Personality Of The Year 2011: 6/5 Mark Cavendish, 13/8 Darren Clarke, 7/1 Rory Mcllroy, 8/1 Mo Farah, 20/1 Donald, 33/1 Tom Daley, 33/1 Sam Warbuton, 40/1 Dai Greene
