Britain’s Got Talent Odds: The Blackouts Head Betting For BGT Crown

The Blackouts top the latest Britain’s Got Talent odds ahead of Stacey Leadbeatter, Will Burns, and Hear Out Voice. William Hill’s online betting markets are updated throughout the competition.
Usually not aired on ITV until the spring months, Britain’s Got Talent returned to our screens in February due to Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway taking a prolonged hiatus. This means fans of BGT have access to the country’s surprising talents several weeks earlier than it most years.
Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden return as judges once again. Bruno Tonioli was absent for some of the auditions, however, leaving KSI to step in as his replacement.
Unavailable due to Dancing With The Stars US commitments, Tonioli was pleased to see KSI step in, and the Strictly Come Dancing judge is excited to return to the panel.
“Who better than a young, attractive, multi-talented star, known the world over, filling in for another young, attractive, multi-talented star, known the world over!
“In all seriousness, I can think of no one better to keep my seat warm than the wonderful KSI, even though I spend most of the show out of it anyway… I’ll be itching to get back to the judging panel for another year of laughter, tears and everything in between.”
Impressionist Shines
Will Burns made himself an early favourite to win the 18th series of Britain’s Got Talent with his range of pop culture impressions. Burns received the much-craved golden buzzer back in February, earning a direct route to the semi-final.
Craig Cash, David Attenborough, and Peter Dickson were among the subjects of Burns’ impressions, with Ant and Dec opting for the golden buzzer.
Clearly on cloud nine after the buzzer sounded, Burns said, “I can’t believe that’s just happened. That should not have happened!”
Youngster Impresses Judges
Only 11 years of age, Olly Pearson was perhaps the most surprising star of Britain’s Got Talent’s return to our screens. Pearson, sporting a backwards cap, delivered a spectacular guitar medley, kicking off with Highway To Hell by AC/DC.
Holden hit the golden buzzer for the pre-teen guitarist. KSI was also full of praise, saying he’s ‘already a star’.
Early Favourites
Given the shortest price by the bookies, The Blackouts impressed the judges and audiences alike with their LED dance performance. Britain’s Got Talent has often rewarded dance groups, including dancers winning the second and third series.
Tonioli was incredibly impressed with the group, saying, “Talk about a magic ride, choreographed to perfection. I can’t wait to see what you are going to do next.”
BGT fans on social media were quick to tab The Blackouts as the winners of the competition – it’s clear the collective from Switzerland are going to have considerable support from voters.
Leadbetter’s Chance
Singers have won five of the previous 17 BGT series. Stacey Leadbeatter, a supermarket worker from Yorkshire, joined the golden buzzer club with her spine-tingling version of Snow Patrol’s Run.
Watched on by her mother and daughter, Leadbetter’s performance earned the first ever golden buzzer from KSI. The performance saw her appear on Lorraine the following morning where she announced she’s going ‘bigger and better’ for the semis.
Having only previously performed in a pub, KSI was bowled over by Leadbetter’s voice.
“What a voice, oh my gosh! Just for a pub? The pub are lucky to have you, that’s incredible.”
Usually hard to impress, even Simon Cowell was in awe.
“That’s a really difficult song to sing and you absolutely nailed it. The audience just fell in love with you, they did that because you’re really good. I really hope this is going to give you a confidence lift because that’s the only thing, you’re lacking a bit of confidence and you shouldn’t because you really, really are good.”
Leadbetter has a real chance if she can replicate that performance. She’s currently the second favourite at 5/1.
