Ruben Amorim Odds & Betting Specials (2025/26)
How much longer will Ruben Amorim be the Manager of Manchester United after a disappointing 2024/25 season and a tough start to the new campaign?
Bet on Premier League with William Hill.
The Portuguese manager has seen his odds drastically cut with William Hill to be the first Premier League manager to leave his post, following a shock League Cup defeat to Fourth Division side Grimsby Town.
The Red Devils suffered their worst ever Premier League points tally last season, finishing 15th in the table with 42 points. Failing to qualify for any European competitions, United may have been looking to the domestic competitions in search of silverware, but a round two exit in the League Cup doesn’t fare well for the rest of the season.
Despite plenty of financial backing during the summer transfer window, which saw the arrival of star players such as Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko, United have struggled to find their feet at the start of the new campaign, with questions also being asked about the quality of their goalkeeping ranks.
Do more drastic changes need to occur at Old Trafford for the Red Devils to rediscover their form, and is parting ways with their struggling coach now the only path forward?
Amorim was priced at 22/1 earlier this week to be the first manager to leave but has now been slashed to just 13/5, placing him third in the market behind West Ham manager, Graham Potter (11/8), and Nottingham Forest coach, Nuno Espirito Santo (2/1).
Further down the list, Leeds boss, Daniel Farke is 14/1, with Wolves’ Vitor Pereira at 16/1 and Brentford manager, Keith Andrews at 20/1.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Manchester United’s humiliating penalty shootout defeat at Grimsby was one of the all-time League Cup giant killings and we’ve cut Ruben Amorim’s odds to be the next Premier League manager sacked as a result.
“The Man Utd boss started the week at 22/1, following the 1-1 draw at Fulham, but his price has collapsed after the Humberside humbling – he’s now 13/5.
“West Ham manager Graham Potter remains favourite in the market at 11/8, followed by Nottingham Forest’s Nuno Espirito Santo at 2/1, but the pressure on Amorim will no doubt mount further in the coming days.”
