Los Angeles is easily the most versatile horse in the race but he’s often seen to best effect when ridden prominently, and I’m expecting Moore to sit just behind probable pacesetter Continuous.
When push comes to shove, Los Angeles finds generously and it will take a really good one to cope with his kick for home. While there may be classier types in the race, he is a dual Group One winner and he brings the highest level of form to the race.
I can see the angle with Anmaat reversing the Tattersalls Gold Cup form but Los Angeles is incredibly likeable and he’s the type you’d love to go to war with. He finds, and finds, and finds for pressure.
A worthy favourite in the horse racing betting markets for Wednesday’s feature race, Los Angeles can give Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien their 150th Group One victory as a partnership.
