What Colour Will The Queen’s Hat Be On Gold Cup Day At Royal Ascot 2025?

All eyes will be on King Charles and Queen Camilla in the Royal procession ahead of Day 3 at Royal Ascot, with the focus once again on the colour of the King’s tie and the Queen’s hat.
Blue has been the favoured colour in betting markets for each of the opening two days but backers have been left frustrated, with both King Charles and Queen Camilla opting for alternative colours at Royal Ascot 2025.
It’s Ladies Day and the Berkshire track is set for baking conditions, with temperatures projected to hit 30C in some areas of the country – and it may even be the hottest Royal Ascot on record if the Iberian heat hits harder than expected.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Blue-backers in the King’s tie and the Queen’s hay stakes on Day 2 of Royal Ascot were left frustrated once again, as Queen Camilla appeared in all green, while a double result was paid once again as any punters who picked out pink or purple for King Charles’ tie colour were paid as winners.
“Punters are still placing their faith on blue however, with King Charles’ 9/4 to finally break out a blue tie, and Queen Camilla the same price at 9/4 to don a blue hat on Gold Cup Day.”
