The 35-year-old British actor is now second favourite in the market, behind Aaron Taylor-Johnson who leads the way at 4/6. Henry Cavill, once viewed as a leading candidate, has drifted slightly to 10/3, while the public’s choice, Theo James (15/2), and Harris Dickinson (12/1) remain further back.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Callum Turner’s recent surge in the next James Bond betting market has really shaken things up, with his price cut from 5/1 to just 2/1.
“Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the favourite at 4/6, but Turner’s surge into 2/1 puts him firmly in contention. Henry Cavill (10/3), Theo James (15/2) and Harris Dickinson (12/1) remain in the frame, though the appetite seems to be shifting toward ‘newer’ names.”

Beyond the betting, the hunt for the next Bond has been one of the hottest topics in film circles since Daniel Craig hung up his tuxedo after No Time To Die. Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have repeatedly suggested they are seeking a long-term successor who can reinvent the role for a new era.
Turner, best known for roles in Fantastic Beasts, Masters of the Air and The Capture, fits the profile of a rising star who could take the franchise in a fresh direction. His move into second favourite status reflects growing momentum behind him, both among fans and punters, as speculation intensifies about who will become cinema’s next 007.
