William Hill Scottish Premiership Winner Odds

We’re seven games into the new season of the William Hill Scottish Premiership and all eyes are on the top of the table.
Celtic are the overwhelming favourites to lift the title for the 2025/26 season, but with Hearts off to a strong start and Rangers always a threat, the title race might not be as one-sided as the odds suggest.
Let’s take a look at the current Scottish Premiership winner odds below.
Bet on Football at William Hill
Celtic 1/5
Despite trailing Hearts by two points, Celtic remain strong 1/5 favourites to retain the title. That speaks volumes about their squad depth, consistency, and track record over a full season.
They are still unbeaten, with 5 wins and 2 draws from their opening fixtures, and boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding just 3 goals so far. Brendan Rodgers has his team playing structured, controlling football, and they’ve shown an ability to grind out results when not at their best – although dropping points at Rangers and a 0-0 draw with Hibernian have meant they’re two points behind the league leaders.
While they haven’t hit full stride yet, the feeling is that Celtic have another gear, and the Scottish Premiership odds reflect that expectation.
Hearts 9/2
Perhaps the most notable price in the market is Hearts at 9/2, who now find themselves as the closest challengers to Celtic. It’s a significant jump from last season, where they finished outside the top six.
Their rise in the betting reflects more than just optimism. Hearts have started the season well and look capable of pushing for their first league title since 1960. It’s a tall order, but at 9/2, there’s growing belief they could at least apply pressure at the top.
The big question: can they maintain this level over 33 games, and then the last five, where the pressure would really build? The last non-Glasgow side to win the title was Aberdeen in 1985. But make no mistake – this Hearts side look built to contend.
Rangers 9/1
It’s been a woeful start for Rangers, who sit 8th in the table with just one win from seven. They’ve scored just 6 goals and have drawn 5 of their games, and the recent sacking of Russell Martin has summarized the start to their season.
At 9/1 they’re not written off entirely, but their performances so far suggest a title challenge is a long shot. Recruiting a new manager will be crucial and could see their odds for the William Hill Scottish Premiership shorten or drift depending on the appointment.
Unless there’s a dramatic turnaround in form, Rangers look more likely to be scrapping for Europe than contending for the crown.
Prediction
Celtic are favourites given their proven track record and experience in title races. But at 1/5, there’s little value.
Hearts at 9/2 might just be one of the best early-season betting opportunities in recent Scottish Premiership history. They’re top, in form, and carrying momentum. Whether they can sustain it remains to be seen, but for now, they’re setting the pace and making headlines.
Rangers, meanwhile, may need a rebuild before being seriously considered again.
