Betfair Chase Entries 2025: Grey Dawning Heads 16 Entered At Haydock

A total of 16 horses have been entered for the 2025 Betfair Chase, which takes place at Haydock Park on Saturday 22nd November.

Ante-post favourite Grey Dawning is the standout entry at this stage, with dual winner Royale Pagaille also in the running to claim his third success in the Grade 1 race.

With a total prize fund of £200,000 up for grabs, winning connections will earn £112,540 and that makes it one of the most lucrative races of the National Hunt season – certainly on this side of Christmas.

A total of four Irish-trained horses have been entered for the race, with dual Grade 1 winner Spillane’s Tower the most intriguing entry of the bunch. He has been a non-runner on several occasions due to quick ground so would relish a softer surface at Haydock.

Grey Dawning, on the other hand, will want faster conditions than in last year’s race. He looked the winner all over but was outstayed by Royale Pagaille, with connections believing that the heavy ground was a significant factor.

Entries for the race closed at 12pm on Tuesday 4th November 2025 and you can view the full list of entered horses below.
