All eyes will be on Aintree on Saturday for the William Hill Becher Chase, with a total of 13 runners declared to line-up for the feature race at the Merseyside track.

With a total prize pot of £150,000 on offer, it looks set to be a competitive race and the biggest trainers, jockeys and owners feature in the make-up of this year’s event. It’s always one of the highlights of the year for horse racing betting punters but there is an added incentive for connections in 2025.

William Hill are offering a lucrative bonus to the winners of the Becher Chase, the Classic Chase at Warwick and the Grand National Trial at Haydock Park. If the winning horse of each individual race goes on to win the Grand National at Aintree on Saturday 11th April 2026, then the total prize money for the race will double to £1 million.

The ‘Half A Mill’ bonus has been introduced with the aim of rejuvenating the competitiveness of the route to the Aintree Grand National and Aintree appear to have reaped the rewards immediately with a strong field for this Saturday’s William Hill Becher Chase.

We had 19 confirmations at the initial six-day stage and the race has been well supported with declarations. Without further ado, let’s get down to business with a run through the 2025 Becher Chase declared runners:
