Next Chelsea Manager Odds: Liam Rosenior favourite to replace Maresca
The managerial pressure at Chelsea has reached a new peak, with Enzo Maresca leaving after seeing his side win just two of their last nine games in all competitions, Liam Rosenior is the early favourite to replace the Italian.
Enzo Maresca left Chelsea on New Years Day and found himself in this position after a really poor December for the club, a run of form which leaves Chelsea fifth in the Premier League and fifteen points behind the league leaders Arsenal, despite the Blues spending over £250million on transfers during the summer. The Italian might feel like he’s been treated unfairly given he led his side to world glory in the summer after becoming the FIFA Club World Cup champions.
Liam Rosenior has emerged as the favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge and that’s down to no only his successful time at Strasbourg in France, but the fact that it could be an easy deal to make given they are part of BlueCo.
Rosenior has had three jobs in football management, he took charge of Derby Country as caretaker manager for just twelve games before becoming the manager of Hull City, he turned the Tigers around but after 78 games in charge, he was harshly relived of his duties.
They’ll be plenty of interest in this job and we’ve set out below a list of early contenders and their odds.
