Scottish Premiership Betting Tips for Hearts v Celtic

The William Hill Scottish Premiership enters Gameweek twenty-three of this campaign, with Hearts, Celtic and Rangers all battling it out for the title and domestic glory.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership..

Sunday will see the top two sides in the Scottish Premiership go head-to-head as Hearts take on Celtic in this mouth-watering encounter at Tynecastle.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Scottish Premiership odds and betting angles for Sunday’s fixture:

Hearts v Celtic – Sunday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Hearts v Celtic with William Hill

  • Not many people had Hearts to be leading the way in Scotland after twenty-two games but that’s exactly what they are doing, having won fifteen games and losing just two, the Jam Tarts are six points clear of Celtic and Rangers.
  • Derek McInnes’ side return to Tynecastle where they remain unbeaten in the league (W8, D3), whilst he’s already seen his side beat the Bhoys in both their meetings so far this season, they are looking to become the first side to beat Celtic in three successive league meetings since Rangers in January 2021.
  • Victory in this one wouldn’t just extend their gap at the top from Celtic, it would mean Hearts have started a calendar year with wins in each of their opening four league matches for the second time in the last three years, having done so in 2024, they’ll have to do it without star-man Lawrence Shankland though who’s out for around six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, a big blow.
    ——————————–————————
  • Celtic kept their UEFA Europa League dreams alive on Thursday night after playing out a 2-2 draw away to Bologna with ten men, although Martin O’Neil might feel a little frustrated having seen his side take a 2-0 lead in the first half.
  • It’s now four games unbeaten for Celtic since Martin O’Neil took over for a second time this season, they’ve won all seven of their league games under Martin O’Neill in this campaign, he might just be the man to stop this run of defeats against Hearts.
  • Three of the last four meetings between the two sides have seen both teams find the back of the net, i think we’ll see the same in this one but i’m going to sit on the fence and back a draw in this one, nothing to separate the two sides.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Draw, Hearts 1-1 Celtic.
