Shock Candidate Climbs To Top Of Next James Bond Market
Jacob Elordi is the new favourite with William Hill to become the next James Bond following the release of Wuthering Heights last week.
Australian actor Elordi was a 14/1 shot for the role last month and held odds of 4/1 just yesterday, but is now the 5/4 favourite in the betting to replace Daniel Craig.
That move means Callum Turner has surrendered favouritism in the past 24 hours, drifting from an odds-on price of 7/10 to 6/4.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (11/2) and Theo James (15/2) round off the top four of the betting.
Next James Bond After Daniel Craig Odds:
- Jacob Elordi – 5/4
- Callum Turner – 6/4
- Aaron Taylor-Johnson – 11/2
- Theo James – 15/2
- Anthony Boyle – 10/1
- Bar – 12/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s been a big shake up in the search for the next James Bond actor in the past 24 hours, with Jacob Elordi our new outright favourite.
“Elordi was considered an outsider for the role last month but saw his price slashed from 14/1 to 4/1 last week following the release of Wuthering Heights.
“However, those odds have taken another tumble this morning and the Australian is the new 5/4 frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig, dethroning previous market leader Callum Turner (6/4) in the process.”
