UFC 326 Prediction: Holloway & Oliveira To Put On A Show?
UFC 326 will take place on March 7 in Nevada. The event is headlined by Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira.
Plenty of other tantalising UFC betting bouts feature on the card, including Rob Font vs. Raul Rosas Jr. and Drew Dober vs. Michael Johnson.
Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira
This promises to be a thriller between Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira, who previously met in a featherweight contest 11 years ago. This time around it’s a lightweight matchup, with Holloway holding the symbolic BMF title.
Recovering from a setback after an impressive submission of Mateusz Gamrot in October, Oliveira is readying for a run at the lightweight title. The 36-year-old holds the record for the most submission wins in UFC history.
We fancy an epic between these two highly regarded fighters.
Pick: Over 2.5 rounds (8/13)
Caio Borralho vs. Reinier de Ridder
Ranked seventh and eighth in the middleweight division, there’s a huge amount at stake when Caio Borralho and Reinier de Ridder meet in Las Vegas at the weekend.
Both fighters lost last time out, though Borralho is well aware de Ridder will be at his best after his body let him down in his previous bout against Brendan Allen. The schedule overexerted de Ridder and left him without enough in the tank to complete the fight.
In September, Borralho suffered a loss to Nassourdine Imavov, which ended a 14-fight winning run. Four of his last six wins were by decision.
Pick: Caio Borralho by decision (5/4)
Rob Font vs. Raul Rosas Jr.
This fight represents a major test for Raul Rosas Jr.’s credentials as he aims to break into the bantamweight rankings. Rob Font has been waiting to take on Rosas after their fight in September was cancelled.
Font stayed on the card and suffered a loss to David Martinez after Rosas withdrew from that event, but both are raring to go in Vegas.
Aged only 21, Rosas is gunning for the record of becoming the youngest ever UFC champion. This weekend’s fight will tell us a lot about his chances.
Pick: Rob Font By KO/TKO/DQ Or Submission (15/4)
Drew Dober vs. Michael Johnson
Two veterans of UFC, Drew Dober and Michael Johnson have a whopping 87 combined appearances in their careers.
These two promise an entertaining fight. Dober throws hands and his aggressiveness provides intrigue for fans. Johnson is a little more cautious, but will still take risks in pursuit of a win.
There’s no chance this one is going the distance.
Pick: Not to go the distance (1/2)
Gregory Rodrigues vs. Brunno Ferreira
Revenge is going to a motivator for Gregory Rodrigues when he faces Brunno Ferreira. The latter knocked out the former in their previous meeting and has won three fights on the bounce.
It was a tense affair until the knockout blow when they previously met. Both fighters will enter this bout with similar caution in the knowledge it can be won in one swing.
Don’t be surprised if they spend a couple of rounds figuring each other out before being more proactive.
Pick: Over 1.5 rounds (10/11)
