William Hill Premiership: Celtic & Hearts Odds On For Victory

Celtic to edge it 1-0 at 15/2 looks appealing, as does a Hearts victory at 8/11 with William Hill.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the William Hill Scottish Premiership..

The William Hill Premiership title race is heating up and Saturday will see three of the title contenders in action.

Celtic will welcome high-flying Motherwell to Celtic Park at 3pm, whilst Hearts travel to Rugby Park in the evening to face Kilmarnock.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some William Hill Scottish Premiership odds and betting angles for Saturday’s fixtures:

Celtic v Motherwell – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Celtic v Motherwell with William Hill

  • Celtic return to William Hill Premiership action having booked their place in the Scottish FA Cup semi-finals last weekend after beating rivals Rangers on penalties in an eventful day with some ugly scenes at the end of the game.
  • The Bhoys will welcome Motherwell to Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon and it’s a crucial clash if they have any chance of claiming their fifty-sixth Scottish League title, they sit five points behind Hearts at the summit, William Hill have Martin O’Neill’s side at 4/6 to win this one.
  • Celtic have lost just one league game under Martin O’Neill since he took over for the second time this season but that did occur in their last outing here against Hibs, they’ve lost their last two home games now in all competitions.
    ——————————–————————
  • Motherwell suffered their first defeat in eleven league games last weekend away to Dundee which just hampered their title ambitions as they now sit ten points behind the league leaders Hearts.
  • The Well have really impressed this season under Jens Berthel Askou with the Danish manager already being linked to some top jobs but he’ll still feel he’s got work to do with the Steelmen, they’ll be hoping to replicate their 2-0 victory back in December, the same scoreline is a huge 25/1 with William Hill.
  • Motherwell have lost just one of their home games in the league this season but on the road it’s a different story, with just four wins in their fourteen road trips thus far, whilst they’ve lost fourteen of their last sixteen visits to Celtic Park in the league (D2), with their last victory coming back in 2015.

Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals (6/5), Celtic 1-0 Motherwell (15/2).

Kilmarnock v Hearts – Saturday, 8pm

Check out Kilmarnock v Hearts odds with William Hill.

  • Kilmarnock welcome Hearts having won just two of their last twenty-two league games and with just four wins from their twenty-nine league games this season, it’s no surprise to see them in eleventh before the split.
  • It’s been a tough season for Killie and it doesn’t get much tougher than facing the league leaders. However, having picked up two wins from their last three home games in the Scottish top-flight, they’ll be hoping they can cause an upset in this one, priced at 3/1 on the ‘2 up’ market with William Hill.
  • Kilmarnock managed to pock up a point in December away at Hearts but suffered a 3-0 defeat here in the previous meeting just two months earlier, they’ve won just one of their last five meetings on home soil against Hearts.
    ——————————–————————
  • Hearts continued their charge towards picking up their fifth league title and their first since the 1959/1960 campaign with a 1-0 victory against Aberdeen at the end of February, the Jambo’s haven’t played a game since that win.
  • With Celtic playing earlier in the day, the pressure could be on Derek McInnes’ side a little by the time this game gets underway, especially given they’ve lost their last two away games in the league, you can back the league leaders at 8/11 to win this one.
  • Only Celtic have a better away record in the league than Hearts, whilst they’ve won their last two visits to Rugby Park, i’m expecting that trend to continue on Saturday evening but i don’t think it’ll be comfortable.

Prediction: Hearts To Win (8/11), Kilmarnock 1-2 Hearts (7/1).
