Goals in Glasgow, Stalemate in Edinburgh: 6/4 Celtic BTTS & Win and 23/10 Hearts Draw Stand Out

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Saturday’s William Hill Premiership action.

Celtic v St Mirren Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Celtic To Win (6/4), Celtic 2-1 St Mirren (13/2).

Hearts v Motherwell Prediction: Draw (23/10), Hearts 0-0 Motherwell (9/1).

With just six games left to play, the title race in Scotland is heating up and two title contenders are in action on Saturday afternoon, as Celtic welcome St Mirren to Glasgow and the league leaders hearts will take on Motherwell, with Scottish Icons Predicting the Title Race Will Go Down to the Final Day.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some William Hill Scottish Premiership odds and betting angles for Saturday’s fixture:

Celtic v St Mirren – Saturday, 3pm

See how the odds stack up across every market.

  • Celtic returned from the international break looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Dundee United and they did just that with a 2-1 victory away at Dundee last Sunday, it leaves the Bhoys three points off the summit prior to kick-off here.
  • Martin O’Neil’s side return to Celtic Park where they’ve won eleven of their fifteen league games this season, the Celtic boss has spoken once again about his side unable to allow any further slip-ups if they are to have any chance of winning the title.
  • Celtic have only lost one of their last thirty-nine home games against St. Mirren in all competitions (W34 D4), a 1-2 league reverse in January 2021, the Hoops are 6/4 with William Hill to win this one with both teams finding the back of the net.
    ——————————–
  • St Mirren beat Celtic to win the Scottish League Cup final back in December (3-1) against all the odds, whilst the two sides will meet next weekend in the Scottish Cup semi-final, but those cup runs remain their only highlight this season.
  • The Saints sit tenth in the Scottish top-flight having won just seven of their thirty-two games so far but travel to Glasgow having won each of their last two outings, they are a huge 11/2 to win here with William Hill.
  • St Mirren last won three top-flight league games in a row back in December 2024 but that stat is likely to continue here given they’ve lost eleven of their last thirteen league matches with Celtic since their 2-0 win back in 2022.

Hearts v Motherwell – Saturday, 3pm

Think there’s value? See the current price at William Hill.

  • Hearts sit top of the William Hill Premiership with just six games left to play but with just one win in their last three league outings (D1, L1) means the gap has now been cut to just one point ahead of Rangers.
  • The Jambos will attempt to bounce back with a win against Motherwell in their final pre-split fixture before moving into the post-split campaign, with matches against both Rangers and Celtic likely to prove vital in the title race.
  • Hearts are unbeaten in five league meetings with Motherwell (W2 D3), keeping four clean sheets in the process, William Hill have priced Hearts to win to nil at a big 13/5 for Saturday’s fixture.
    ——————————–
  • Motherwell had been flying under Jens Berthel Askou and his side were also in the conversation for the league title a few weeks ago having lost just three games in the league all season. However, they travel to Edinburgh winless in their last four games (L3, D1).
  • Only Livingston and Dundee Utd have drawn more games this season than Motherwell’s twelve, whilst the Well have drawn a league-high seven away games from their fifteen outings thus far, with three of the last four meetings ending in a stalemate between these two sides, it’s hard to ignore the draw here at 23/10 with William Hill.
  • Motherwell have won just one of their last nine league visits to Hearts (D2 L6), a 1-0 victory in September 2023 under Stuart Kettlewell, i’m going to back the stalemate here with nothing to separate the two sides.
