Centre Court Set To Sizzle: Wimbledon Hottest Temperature Odds Slashed
William Hill have dramatically shortened the odds on this year’s Wimbledon Championships producing the hottest temperature ever recorded at the tournament.
At the start of Wimbledon, the bookmaker priced the existing record of 35.7°C, set in 2015, at 8/1 to be broken. However, following forecasts of another significant UK heatwave next week, those odds have now been cut to just 5/2.
Hottest Ever Wimbledon Temperature
- Hottest ever Wimbledon temperature (35.7°C) to be broken this year – 5/2
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “It’s not often we make such a significant move on a weather market, but confidence is growing that this year’s Wimbledon Championships could rewrite the record books.
“With another UK heatwave forecast to arrive next week, we’ve shortened the odds from 8/1 to 5/2 for the hottest ever temperature at Wimbledon to be broken this year.
“If the sunshine sticks around, Centre Court could become the hottest ticket in town in more ways than one.”
