At 12.30pm, Hull City return to the English top-flight when they welcome a Manchester United side full of confidence and optimism.

Kicking-off at the traditional time of 3pm, Everton welcome Crystal Palace to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, newly-promoted Ipswich Town take on Sunderland at Portman Road, whilst Nottingham Forest and Leeds United go head-to-head at the City Ground.

At 5.30pm, we’ve got a really intriguing encounter between Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur to round off Saturday’s Premier League action.

Everton spent much of last season pushing for a European place before a late slump saw them finish thirteenth, but given their recent battles with relegation, it still represented clear progress for David Moyes’ side.
The Toffees will be aiming to start fast on Saturday, though history suggests they may find it difficult — they’ve lost each of their last four Premier League opening fixtures, their joint‑longest losing run on the opening weekend.
Even so, Everton’s record against Crystal Palace offers real encouragement. They are unbeaten in their last eleven meetings with the Eagles in all competitions (W7, D4), and haven’t lost any of their last twelve home games in this fixture. Crystal Palace have undergone major change this summer despite lifting the Europa Conference League trophy, with Oliver Glasner departing for Nottingham Forest and Pierre Sage stepping into the hot seat.
The new boss could become only the third manager in club history to win his first Premier League game in charge, though one victory in their last twenty‑three league meetings with Everton makes that task considerably tougher.
Palace’s away form last season does offer a glimmer of encouragement — they collected more points on the road than they did at Selhurst Park, a trend that may tempt punters to side with the Eagles. Ipswich Town v Sunderland – Saturday, 3pm

Ipswich bounced back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, but despite that achievement Kieran McKenna has departed, leaving Gary O’Neil to take charge as he looks to defy the betting odds and keep the Tractor Boys in the division.
Ipswich haven’t enjoyed opening‑day success in recent years, losing their first league game in each of their last four Premier League campaigns, with their most recent victory at this stage coming against Oldham Athletic back in 1993/94. They will, however, take confidence from having completed the double over Sunderland when the sides last met in the 2023/24 Championship season.
Scoring first could be crucial for Ipswich Town, given they avoided defeat in all 25 league matches in which they struck the opening goal last season. William Hill make O’Neil’s side 17/10 to begin their Premier League return with all three points in this curtain‑raiser.

Sunderland shocked many last season, their first campaign back in the Premier League ending with a superb seventh‑place finish that secured UEFA Europa League football and defied the betting markets.
However, concerns have already surfaced about whether the Black Cats can cope with the added demands of European competition, especially after a quiet summer in the transfer window that has left some questioning their squad depth.
Even so, Sunderland have been strong starters in recent years. They’ve won their opening league game in each of the last two seasons, beating Cardiff in 2024/25 and West Ham in 2025/26. The Black Cats last opened a campaign with three straight victories between 1950/51 and 1952/53, and William Hill price them at 6/4 to end that long wait.

Nottingham Forest v Leeds United – Saturday, 3pm

Nottingham Forest endured a bizarre campaign last season, changing managers four times, yet still managing to secure Premier League safety and reach the semi‑finals of the Europa League. They now turn to Oliver Glasner to steady the ship and bring some much‑needed continuity ahead of the new campaign.
Forest will be aiming to get off the mark quickly with three points, and Glasner’s track record offers encouragement — he has won his first game at four of his last five clubs, a trend that suggests a positive start could be on the cards in this curtain‑raiser.
Another good omen is the recent history of this fixture: the home side has won each of the last five meetings, while an away team hasn’t claimed victory here since Leeds back in 2017. With those factors in mind, William Hill make Forest 5/4 to begin the Glasner era with a win.

Daniel Farke was a man under pressure at various points last season, but Leeds stuck by the German and it proved an inspired decision. The Whites went on to finish fourteenth in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup semi‑finals, a campaign that restored stability and optimism at Elland Road.
Leeds have strengthened again this summer and will be hoping those additions help them climb the table rather than flirt with relegation. Their pre‑season form has been encouraging too, ending their preparations with four wins from six outings.
The Yorkshire side also boast an excellent opening‑day record, losing just two of their last eighteen top‑flight season openers (W9, D7) — those defeats coming against Liverpool in 2020/21 and Manchester United in 2021/22. Punters can back Leeds at 21/10 to leave the East Midlands with all three points.

Significant Conditions

The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
A “Qualifying Acca” is:

The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
1. For retail customers: £2,000
2. For online customers: £10,000.
There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
