Greyhound Tips: Dani Jackson’s Irish Greyhound Derby Best Bets
The semi-finals of the 2026 Irish Greyhound Derby arrive at Shelbourne on Saturday and William Hill ambassador Dani Jackson is on hand with her best bets.
Saturday, Shelbourne
CROYDON AVENGER is the pick for me in the first of the Irish Greyhound Derby semi-finals (21:06) as he has his beloved red jacket once more. He won from here last week when sent off at double figure odds and recorded his quickest time of the competition so far. He seems to have taken a couple of runs to hit top gear, but he looks to be at the top of his game at exactly the right time, and I reckon he’ll win his semi as long as he holds the rail up to the corner.
In the second semi-final (21:24), there is a greyhound who I’ve swerved due to his price every week, but I’ve deemed it folly to do so again. BOUNCING MONARCH is a superstar. He’s won in every round so far with the shortest winning margin being two and a half lengths. He’s a powerhouse from the boxes and has recorded the quickest times of the competition nigh on every week. Only five spots split his times throughout the contest which shows how consistent he is. It also doesn’t seem to matter which trap he’s in as he’s won from one to four. He finds himself in trap four again and should complete the five timer with a minimum of fuss.
Another stellar night of action in the greyhound world with a cracking card to enjoy at Dunstall Park too, and you can watch every race live here with us.
