Aryna Sabalenka vs Elena Rybakina Betting Tips
The top seed Aryna Sabalenka matches up with the player who will be taking her place as world number one in Elena Rybakina. Where Sabalenka beat Jessica Pegula in straight sets, Rybakina fought from a set down to see off home favourite Coco Gauff.
It is the 18th meeting between these players. Sabalenka beat Rybakina in the final at Indian Wells and the semi-final in Miami after Rybakina got the better of Sabalenka in the final of the WTA Finals and the final of the Australian Open.
Sabalenka has a 10-7 record in this contest, but the first three of those wins came in 2019 and 2021. There’s been very little to choose between them over the last three or four years.
Both players have had to dig deep in the last couple of rounds, preparing them for what promises to be an almighty battle on Saturday. Two of the three meetings this year have gone over 25.5 total games, and we’re expecting that trend to continue in this final.
It’s an incredibly difficult match to call. Sabalenka’s performance against Pegula was ominous, but the way Rybakina has come back from losing the opening set in her last two matches shows how formidable she is in this form. We think there’s better value with Rybakina as a slight underdog.
