Harry Kane: What team would suit him best?

| BY News Team

With a potential move for Harry Kane the focus of conversation as another summer transfer window looms, we take a look at what clubs could be the best fit for the England captain.

With Kane having played for Tottenham for the overwhelming majority of his career so far, Arsenal is a no go for the man that is loved so much by the Tottenham faithful and that means that there are only so many other clubs that could be a suitable home for the man chasing down the Premier League all-time goal record.

With Arsenal out of the picture and Manchester City having just signed two top class strikers in Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, that doesn’t leave a host of possible Premier League clubs of a high enough stature or that could supply Kane with the trophies he has lacked in his career so far…but there are a few.

Manchester United

Arguably the biggest club in the country and possibly even the world, Manchester United saw days when they could sign any player in world football. Unfortunately, it isn’t quite the same as it was in the late 90s and early 2000s as the Red Devil’s influence on the international transfer market has started to wane alongside their results.

That being said Manchester United will always be one of the clubs that players grow up imagining themselves playing for and there is no doubt that Harry Kane will have spared a moment to the idea that he could one day win a trophy at Old Trafford.

Now in 2023, Manchester United are in desperate need of a striker that can supply goals and there is no one better in England than Harry Kane at the moment so it seems to many like a match made in heaven, and one that will come to fruition sooner or later.

Real Madrid

Nothing is a guarantee in football, but success in Real Madrid colours is the closest thing to it. Los Blancos have won La Liga four times since 2010 and have won the Champions League five times in the same time frame with numerous domestic cups also claimed in the process.

Forget the trophies, Real Madrid are the arguably the most successful club in the history of European football and just wearing the shirt cements a player as one of the best of all time – Kane would absolutely consider any offer made by the side and would certainly bring something to the table with Karim Benzema edging towards the end of his career.

If Kane goes to Madrid, he will win silverware for certain. The question is, what is more important to him – trophies, or the bragging rights of being the most potent goal scorer to ever grace the Premier League?

Bayern Munich

With Bayern Munich still struggling from the fallout after they lost their prized asset Robert Lewandowski, a replacement striker is very much needed for the German champions and Harry Kane fits the bill as a direct replacement for the Polish goalscorer.

Kane has a very similar play style and qualities to Lewandowski so would no doubt seamlessly fit into the side, and looking at how Bayern have won the Champions League twice in the last decade and won every Bundesliga title since 2011/12, Harry would not be left without reward.

It would be a good move for Kane and would see him as the centre piece in a well-oiled system that is this season threatening for the Champions League trophy once again. Again, the question is, does Kane want to take the risk and move to mainland Europe in the pursuit of trophies when what he has in England is already so good.

Newcastle United

Kane has scored 205 goals in the Premier League and at the age of 29 he has plenty of time to break Alan Shearer’s record of 260. It would seem fitting that he moved to a club in the English top flight and for the aforementioned reasons the up and coming Newcastle United could be a fantastic choice.

Though Newcastle have recently signed top striker Alexander Isak who has played very well since arriving in England, they would undoubtedly be able to find room for Kane who can play as number ten and with the funding now behind the club after their recent acquisition, it is only a matter of time before they are one of the best teams in Europe.

Kane wants trophies and while Newcastle are some way off winning the Premier League or Champions League, based on this season alone they look better suited to winning silverware than Tottenham do in their current state.

If Newcastle can persuade Kane with a big contract and the promise of other high-quality players brought in to accompany him, they could be a force to be reckoned with very soon.

Stay at Tottenham

In all honesty, despite the ongoing conversation and hype around where Kane will go next, it is more than likely that the striker will hang on to his position at Spurs where he is comfortable in the league and easily the best player in the squad.

Though it is unlikely that he is completely happy, he has a good thing going and will be hesitant to up end it all for a move away.

Manchester United looks to be the most realistic of all the options as he won’t be moving too far from north London and will still be where he is worshipped by so many fans, and where he can chase down the coveted goal record that is now well within his reach.

If he doesn’t go to Manchester United this summer, we can’t see him making a move to anywhere other than Real Madrid – as the reigning Champions League winners are the only side that can truly offer him the glory that all fans in England believe he deserves.
