Premier League Preview: Who you got this weekend?

| BY News Team

It’s fair to say MW7 in the Premier League didn’t pass by without any talking points. Most-notably, what is the future for VAR after the blunder in Spurs v Liverpool?

It will be under extra scrutiny this weekend. Let’s hope it’s the football on the pitch that grabs everyone’s attention.

Luton v Spurs kicks things off on Saturday lunchtime, while Man Utd will hope to turn their faltering form around when they host Brentford. Sunday’s big game sees Man City travel to title rivals Arsenal.

Over the weekend we’ll have great offers on the footy, including Nicole Holliday’s picks, Enhanced Odds and much more. Plus, your Epic Boost will be refreshed on Sunday morning ahead.

To get you ready for the footy, let’s look at three of the standout Premier League fixtures…

Luton v Spurs

Kenilworth Road

Saturday, 7th October @ 12:30

After getting their first Premier League win last weekend, Luton were unable to build on it as they were beaten 2-1 by Burnley on Tuesday. Getting back to winning ways is not going to be easy, though, given Spurs are in town. The Hatters are 6/1 to claim all three points.

If they are to do that then Carlton Morris is likely to be their main goal threat. Morris is 7/2 to have over 1 shot on target against Spurs. The 27-year-old has had more efforts on target than any other Luton player (5), scoring three times.

Spurs are favourites to win this one, but they’ve not kept a clean sheet in their past four Premier League games. Fancy Luton to score? It’s 19/10 Spurs win with both teams finding the net.

James Maddison looks extremely comfortable in a Spurs shirt. In his seven league appearances the former Leicester man has had 13 efforts on target, scored twice and provided four assists (a league high). Maddison is 2/1 to add another assist to his tally at Kenilworth Road.

Everton v Bournemouth

Goodison Park

Saturday, 7th October @ 15:00

This one is a massive game at the bottom of the table. Both Everton and Bournemouth have struggled for any kind of form this season and as a result it’s odds-on that both teams score.

The home team has dominated this fixture with nine wins in 12 games. The one away win saw Bournemouth take all three points at Goodison Park in July 2020. The Cherries are 27/10 to repeat that.

Bournemouth’s defensive fragility should give Everton some hope, though. Since returning to the top flight, they’ve conceded an average of 1.77 goals per game. Get 12/5 on the Toffees netting twice on Saturday.

Fancy Dominic Calvert-Lewin to set Everton on their way with the opening goal? It’s 9/2. The England striker has scored in his last three games in all competitions.

Arsenal v Man City

Emirates Stadium

Sunday, 8th October @ 16:30

Man City got back to winning ways in midweek with a 3-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League. Will that provide a springboard to dent Arsenal’s title hopes?

City have won their last 12 league games against the Gunners, scoring 33 times in that run. You can get 6/1 on City to score three goals at the Emirates – like they did last season.

The last three league meetings between these sides have seen both teams find the net. With both riding high in the table, will we see goals galore? You can get 9/1 on both teams to score in both halves.

Kai Havertz got off the mark for Arsenal against Bournemouth last weekend as he converted their second penalty of the game. It’s 10/1 on the former Chelsea man opening the scoring.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland is looking to score in a fifth consecutive Premier League appearance in London. The division’s top scorer is 5/4 to net at any time and 25/1 to bag a hat-trick.
